Education
I attended Penn State where I completed my undergraduate work with a B.S. in Psychology-Mathematics in 2010. I then attended Duquesne University where I earned my Master's Degree in Secondary Math Education in 2012.
Experience
I am currently employed at both CCAC and La Roche colleges where I teach 4 different sections of college level mathematics. I have tutored several high school students in a one-on-one setting and really have seen how rewarding the experience can be for the students. As their parents have told me, these students have gone from failing to passing within a matter of days and weeks thanks to my help. I have taken seemingly every math class possible at the college level and taught a variety of math classes as well during my brief teaching career. I love working with students and kids. I have also been employed at a children's center/day care for the last 2+ years and have learned a lot about children of various ages and their learning styles. I really could not envision myself in a career outside of teaching or outside of helping students.
